This week sees the 10th instalment of Grauzone taking placing in The Hague. The coldwave/EBM/synth event has gathered the most impressive lineup ever, with plenty of international names. Ellen Allien is among the DJs and Kontravoid and Lebanon Hanover are playing live.
Among the local talents you will find Dim Garden, Knekelhuis signees De Ambassade and Reymour and founder Mark Knekelhuis is also doing a b2b DJ set with Elena Colombi who used to be based in Amsterdam. The legendary Das Ding will also be performing in 2023.
I’m mostly looking forward to finally catching Minuit Machine live after missing them in Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago. And of course Pablo Bozzi, Kendal and their mutual project Infravision will be something to behold as well. Spanish groups Dame Area and Belgrado are on my must-see list as well, as are Rue Oberkampf from Germany.
I will also get to see Zanias and Neu-Romancer again, after having seen their brilliant set in Copenhagen. Another up and coming band is Thus Love from the US and Clamm from Australia, whom I’ve seen in Melbourne. Patriarchy who are signed to Australian label Dero Arcade will certainly be a highlight.
Here is a playlist of some of our favourite artists playing Grauzone this year – we’ve written about almost all of them here before.
