Here are two great reissues from Groovie Records worth checking out. The first one, from Marcos Vermelho originally came out on Brazilian Polydor in 1969. “Gira Gira” is a slice of psychedelic funk and the flip is more tropicalia with an orchestra backing. Previously, Vermelho had played in bands like Top Sounds, Código 90 and Loupha but this became his lone solo record. The reissue finally came out a few weeks ago.
