The first exciting event of 2023 will surely be the 3rd anniversary of Gothenburg label and record store Discreet Music. On Jan 7th they’re taking over folk for an evening of live music from Treasury of Puppies, Jon Collin (UK), Franciska (DK) and Magnus Jäverling.
Treasury of Puppies (pictured) have not only released a brilliant album on Discreet this year – they’ve also garnered international attention with the reissue of their self-titled debut album from 2020 on Digital Regress. Possibly one of the best record sleeves ever?
It’s actually been a great year for Gothenburgian reissues, with JJULIUS appearing on DFA and Neutral and Astrid Øster Mortensen on Grapefruit. Mortensen, who also released on Discreet this year, will be DJing at the event.
