Amery Sandford and David Carriere are two Montreal musicians who make italo-influenced lofi pop using the moniker Born At Midnite. Their new EP Alternity came out on Arbutus last month. The 4 tracks on the tape have that warm retro glow underpinned by tinny drum machine beats, but it’s the vocals that give this release its charm.
