While we wrote about the Liquid Lunch 45 that also included Sean Albert on the recordings, we’ve been considerably slower in picking up on his debut album as Belly Jelly – a tape that came out on Discontinuous Innovation way back in the spring of 2022. The Universal Language is a 13-track synth-punk opus that sounds way too good to be the work of just one person. Also playing on this record we have drummer Dan Knewitz, who also recorded the album. The cover was done by Ian Teeple.
