Very proud to present this new guest mix via Unwound from Australia – one of the labels who always seem to know where it’s. We asked James Kane (who also plays in The Faculty and Body Maintenance) and Riley Stafford to put together some of their faves from 2022. Plenty of stuff we already know and love but also some great releases we’ve completely missed on Roachleg, La vida es un mus, Union Jerk and other great labels. Here’s what they say about the mix:

It’s been a weird time experiencing a full year of “normal” after a chaotic few years both here in Melbourne/Naarm and abroad, so this selection of tunes should reflect the ever changing mood this year has cast upon us. From the spooky punk of Philly’s Poison Ruin, the staunch goth from Budapest’s Padkarosda or the “Horny Snail Pyramids” of local avant-gardeners Cloud Ice Nine, there should be enough packed in here to highlight how good the last 12 months has been for underground music.

We’ve also thrown in a couple of tracks that feature on releases from the Unwound label this year; “Act of Compliance” from Glasgow post-punkers Memorabilia and local act C.L.R’s “System Focus”. Hopefully the 45 minute mix is enough to get you from door to door in whichever manner it can.
