The Swiss producer Chlär – based in Berlin, like so many others – released a mini-album for the new Stuttgart label Mutual Rytm during the autumn. Optimized Grooves is a fine example of his mastery of this almost-melodic techno sound. Having previously worked as a mastering engineer, this shouldn’t surprise anyone. He also runs the label Bipolar Disorder since about 5 years, which is worth a look.
