Berlin-based artist Raquel Torre is back with a new album under the Lacquer pseudonym. Absence is her second album after debuting in 2020 with an LP full of tasteful coldwave. Having supported groups like Dame Area, Tempers and Boy Harsher, Torre is an artist who is unafraid to emulate musical heroes albeit keeping a personal touch. That can be heard all over the 8 tracks on the new self-released record, out since a few weeks back.
