The aforementioned Antonia XM from Vienna is an artist, producer and co-founder of the Ashida Park label. Back in the spring she released her first EP called Demons, which blends highly polished pop with underground club sounds – or ‘hybrid club’ as the label calls it. The 5-track EP came out on her own label and reminds me a bit of the Alice Glass solo LP also of 2022. It was preceded by a few months by her collaboration with Berlin-based t0ni, called “Keepsake (It’s Alright)”.
