Turkish artist Gaye Su Akyol will be back with her fourth album later this month. Anadolu Ejderi (meaning “Anatolian dragon”) is coming out on Glitterbeat and consists of songs Gaye wrote during the pandemic. It was a prolific period for her, saying that she wrote over 100 songs during this time. The album broadens her palette a little – from psychedelic Anatolian music of the 70s to African sounds as well as disco and soul.
