Liraz’ debut album Naz was great, but not as incredible as their live performance at Roskilde Festival. Since then the Israeli-Persian singer and songwriter has released another album (in 2020) where she collaborated with Iranian musicians online. That came out on Glitterbeat and now she is back on the German label with new album Roya. The 11 tracks were recorded in a hidden-away basement in Istanbul, as musicians from Tehran joined the sessions secretly. The result is a glorious and lush production that we will remember for a long time.
