The Melbourne collective based around Nicolaas Oogjes released their latest and second album way back in 2016. That they were working on new music was proven by the covers record they did in 2020. After the tragic passing of vocalist Daphne Camf (also of SaD) last year, I can only imagine the future of the group was uncertain. Next month they will perform again though, as a part of their label Chapter’s 30th anniversary. Around the same time the final recordings with Camf will be released as an EP called Heat Beat. The title refers to the name the group themselves used to brand their take on mutant disco.
