KŐVÁRI is a new various artists compilation from the Hungarian label, podcast and event series Brvtal. György Kővári was a Hungarian architect that the label introduce as a local proponent of the brutalist style in architecture. While I feel like brutalism is a largely misunderstood term I can still appreciate the 14 tracks on offer on this digital compilation. There’s some great music from E.L.I. and Duellist (in collaboration with iFormat). Formal Method and Trauma are both spot on too.
