Scout Gillett is the latest spectacular signing by Captured Tracks, and one that harks back to the early days of the label. Similarly to Gabriella Cohen, Gillett takes her inspiration from the 60s and 70s in her take on folky indie rock. We featured the stunning “Picture Cards Can’t Picture You” from her debut EP on our summer playlist this year. One to Ten also included a great Broadcast cover, which will give you a better idea of what to expect from her first album No Roof No Floor. The 10-track LP is out in October, but check out the video for “Signal” – a track that she released in its first version already two years ago.
