Strange Interactions is a Naarm-based DJ duo, event series and now label run by Yang and Rita, who also hos a show on Hong Kong Community Radio. They are launching the label with their first compilation 5×5 in a couple of weeks. The title comes from military language, describing clarity in radio signal. The label says “we chose to reject the institution of the military in favour for the character Faith in Buffy, who uses ‘5×5’ in excess to describe how she’s feeling”. Apart from the duo themselves, the compilation also features new music from Tangerine and Minimale Fatale in collaboration with Selki.
