The Italian artist Caterina Barbieri has a new LP out on her own label Light-Years. It’s a very ambitious record called Spirit Exit and that’s available on double-vinyl since last month. In includes a new version of her collaboration with Lyra Pramuk from last year, which is the longest track on the album. It’s only her third album so far, but it very close to being a masterpiece of experimental electronic music – full of melody, texture and the unexpected.
