Minami Deutsch is a Japanese psychedelic group that we have weirdly never featured here before, despite having released two excellent albums – one of them on Guruguru Brain. Now they are back on the label started by Kikagaku Moyo, and like them they have moved to Berlin. Having had a deep fascination for krautrock since the beginning, Kyotaro Miula has delved deeper into the sounds of German 70s rock. Calling it an “encyclopaedia of krautrock” or the “ultimate Japanese take of krautrock in 2022” is quite accurate.
