Control Addicts is a forgotten experimental trio from Visby in Sweden. Formed by Henrik Johansson, Tomas Bergström and Stefan Wesley in the early 80s – they appeared on a compilation tape called SB 450 in 1984, which was released by themselves and was named after the track they contributed. Also on the tape were other obscure Swedish groups like Datahysteri.
Yesterday they released a retrospective compilation called 1982-1986 on the small label Bendi. It includes everything they recorded and is a mix of ambient, industrial, post-punk and avantgarde pop.
