Loris Cericola is the founder of the Weird Tapes label in Italy and also a producer himself, across many different projects like Spirale and Vacuum Templi. Very recently he put out a new album via Artetetra, called Metaphysical Graffiti. It’s one of the most interesting pieces of ambient/sound collage that I’ve heard in a while and consists of 8 new tracks. The label describes it as and “aural alternative to a subcultural cave painting”, which I think is fitting. It bears the mark of improvisational techniques, relying on tape cutups and analog sound manipulation.
