Strapazen und Genesung is the name of the debut LP from Geier aus Stahl – an alias used for many years by Rotterdam artist Leonard Prochazka. Prochazka combines electronic and acoustic instruments with vocals to create a cold and minimal sound. Housed in an even more minimal sleeve, this album is not one that is aimed at the commercial world of music. It’s coming out on the Dutch label Knekelhuis in a couple of weeks and is definitely worth checking out for fans of minimal wave, the 80s tape exchange scene and the Knekelhuis label in general (since you may be familiar with his other alias Jean Luc).
