Fonteyn is an artist who seems to be made for the New Commute fans. Born in the UK, she now based in Salt Lake City and has recorded an album filled with 70s Carpenters and sunshine pop vibes. Not unlike Drugdealer or even Weyes Blood, Fonteyn’s music is not even attempting to sound new but implies that the pinnacle of production quality was reached with the analogue studio sounds of the late 60s and early 70s. Her first album Trip the Light Fantastic is out on Philly label Born Losers in August.
