The ever-prolific Jake Robertson from Melbourne is now involved with a large part of the released output of Melbourne label Anti Fade. Following the latest album as Alien Nosejob, he has now teamed up with Violetta Del Conte-Race for an album of collaborative tracks. As Modal Melodies, they rely on the soothing vocals of Violette (who’s also active in The Glass Picture and Primo!), drum machines and layers of synthesizers. The selftitled album is out on Anti Fade in May and spans 13 tracks in the same musical vein as Karen Marks.
