Following last year’s Expressions of Interest, which was one of the best Australian records of 2022, Naarm post-punk group Screensaver is back with a new single. “Clean Current” is out on Upset the Rhythm in early April and presents an almost pop-oriented melody that actually reminds me of Eddy Current Suppression Ring as well a bit of New Order or Patti Smith. The label mention Snapper, and that reference is pretty bang on as well.
