Zombierella is the alias of Svetlana Nagaeva from St. Petersburg (member of Messer Chups and The Bleak Engineers). She released her first single on Mosaique in 2019 and follow-up the next year. Now she is back with a striking new 45 on the same label called “Rush Hour”. The a-side is taking an 80s synth-pop approach, but still with Nagaeva’s bass playing. It’s a cinematic sound but not at all in the b-movie spectrum like much of her previous work, as the glittery cover art indicates.
