Susans is a post-punk trio from London, not in the UK but in Canada. Their line-up includes ukulele instead of guitar, but otherwise their sound is similar to contemporary groups like Uranium Club. In fact, listening to their first and self-titled album I didn’t even notice at first. The tracks with female vocals, like “Nine”, or when they’re traded back and forth are definitely the best ones. The album was released yesterday on cassette via the Detroit label Painters Tapes.
