You may be forgiven for thinking that Budapest-based Brvtal has something to do with The Brvtalist. The Hungarian label, podcast and event series is even more formalist in its reverence of the ‘cruelest, hardest, fastest techno with industrial sound’. The also show that they actually know what brutalism means by naming their new compilation after Hungarian architect Csaba Virág. Virág is a 14-track digital release (that also comes with a t-shirt) that gathers hard techno and industrial/EBM-style tracks from names like Slave to Society, Pure Hate founder STRISC. and Unknown. Local Mike Nylons also appears along with Alessandro Nero, who recently has an EP out via The Brvtalist.
