RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #118
One of the most interesting reissues of last year came out just a few days before NYE. Batang Frisco was a unique San Francisco minimal wave project with a self-released album from 1986. It’s now available once again from B.F.E. Records – a self-titled 8-track album that doesn’t sound like anything else you’ve heard.
Batang Frisco (‘San Francisco kids’ in the Filipino dialect Tagalog) was formed by Eric Jensen and Bill DiMichele (who is not with us anymore). Listen to “Sewing Machine” which still sounds fresh as a daisy. This became their only album.
