Fresh Hold is a new Australia reissue label that launched in 2021, with the reissue of the mysterious Singing Dust LP. It was originally released on Melbourne label Cleopatra Records in 1986 and is the work of jazz pianist Robert Welsh from Queensland. I’ve come back to this record several times during the year, with its timeless blend of Indian influences and Western fusion. The 7-track album was remastered from the original tapes by Dan Elleson and Mikey Young.
