La Union Metalurgica îs a Spanish industrial project headed by Lautaro Carbajal and Nicolas Ballesteros from Barcelona. A few weeks ago they released their first album Untitled on New York label L.I.E.S. and it’s a great LP. In the label’s own words these 7 tracks are the “sonic equivalent to the decaying society we inhabit day to day”. One could definitely trace their roots back to seminal Spanish acts like Esplendor Geométrico.
