RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #112
Bush Tetras was a New York group that has gone down in history as a part of the no wave scene and were included on the New York Noise compilation back in 2003. The group also included original Contorsions guitarist Pat Place. Despite only completing one album in their initial phase (1983’s Wild Things) they released many classic singles in their first three years of existence. These were compiled as early as 1989, but their current label Wharf Cat have just released the 3LP box set Rhythm and Paranoia: The Best of Bush Tetras.
The first 13 tracks focus on the band’s early era, with the rest delving into their 90s era and more recent recording. There’s also one previously unreleased track here, called “Cutting Floor”.
