Sadly I just missed Alberta Balsam’s dj set at Le Guess Who, but the good news is that she’s just released her debut through Dutch label Dekmantel. The 5-track 12″ Higher Dreams came out a few days ago and is inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin. That sounds a bit lotfy but it actually comes with a poster designed by British artist Alex Morgan that tells the story of “a quest for survival on a planet ravaged by ecological collapse”.
