Emma Donovan is the singer and songwriter based in Naarm who took the world by storm with her eponymous debut album together with local funk masters The Putbacks. Since that release just about a year ago, they’ve fine-tuned their collaborative process and released a new album called Under These Streets, via Heavy Machinery (a label that is simply killing it this year). Donovan grew up on the north coast of New South Wales and has toured and recorded with many stars of indigenous music.
