Not only did Flavien Berger’s Contre-Temps come out on a label called Pan European, it was also the French artist’s ticket to international recognition. The 2018 album was truly inspiring and follow-up De la friche is less of an album and rather a loose collection of material from the last 1,5 years. The 22 feature a mix of field recordings from Thailand, Mexico and Belgium as well as the ‘music for plants’ concept. It’s a mostly instrumental album that is only available on cassette, as of a few days ago.
