“Tom’s By 2″ is my favourite track from Elite Beat so far. It’s one of two long tracks on the Portland group’s new 12” with the same title. It just came out a few days ago on Australian label Research Records. The b-side “UniFi (Slab Creek Version)” is a bit slower and more dubby, but just as captivating. Along with the new L’eclair LP this record is among the most groovy releases of the year.
