LA-based post-punk group Cemento issued their debut album on Iron Lung Records from Seattle in the early summer. The bands consists of past members of Smut, along with Nick Vicario (who released an excellent album as Smirk earlier this year). Killing Life is mini-album of 8 tracks that blend the early goth sound of The Cure with fuzzed out basslines from the world of hardcore. It works really well on tracks like “Coming Down”.
