Prolific Scottish composer Andrew Wasylyk has returned with a beautiful new album on Clay Pipe Music. Balgay Hill: Morning In Magnolia is an ode to the quickly fading summer, complete with birdsong and influenced by springtime walks in Dundee’s Balgay Park. It follows last years impressive Fugitive Light and Themes of Consolation, which also had a track dedicated to Balgay. If that one was autumnal, this album is basking in the light of a low-lying sun. The 10-track LP came out a week ago.
