After a brief detour to release Nape’s new EP (the excellent Third Europe) the Croatian label Optimism Is Out to Get You have returned with their fifth various artists compilation. Curated by Strahinja Arbutina, it contains 13 tracks from around the globe – most of them from more or less obscure artists. The only name I really recognised was Crypto Order from Italy. Nonetheless, this is a captivating listen with many twists and turns. I really liked the track from Seattle’s NYCO as well as the contribution from Koketamc (who runs Zela Archives).
