We’ve previously written about Mister Baby, but not about April Magazine – the San Francisco band that Kati also plays in. A couple of years ago they appeared on the great Hot Sick Vile and Fun compilation put together by Sonny Smith. Their track was a slightly more polished piece of dream pop, similar to The Reds, Pinks & Purples (sometimes they record with Donaldson), but their self-released cassettes have been more lofi and subdued. So is their new album for Paisley Shirt – Sunday Music For an Overpass – which leans heavily into Galaxie 500 and 90s groups like Shoestring.
