Barcelona Dame Area duo (Silvia Konstance and Viktor L. Crux) were one of my best discoveries of last year. After a handful of excellent 12″s they try their hand at a full-length, after signing to Berlin label Mannequin. Ondas Tribales (tribal waves) as the album is called is a fitting name for their experimental mix of industrial sounds and organic rhythms. The 8-track LP came out in April and sold out quickly, even it’s quite far from danceable at times. It is one of the best records of the year though.
