Last month Takahiro Mukai’s Split Up became the 50th release on Teorema (the Diffuse Reality sub-label for experimental sounds). It’s far from Mukai’s only release this year, which started with a tape on French label Onto Records, an ambient tape on American imprint Forgot, as well as a 12″ on NAIAD. Takahiro Mukai is based in Osaka and has released heaps of records in the past few years, consistently numbering his compositions in chronological order. The ones on this 12-track cd are numbered #481-493. This is experimental stuff verging on leftfield techno and industrial and noise.
