X Club is the new project of Benedict Clarke and Jesse Patrick from Brisbane. Their first release came out a couple of years ago and in March of this year they made their debut release on London (via Oz) label Steel City Dance Discs (also home to Mall Grab, Nite Fleit etc.). Steel City Dance Discs Vol. 22 is a strong 5-track 12″ with lots of tasty sounds spanning electro, breakbeats and 90s rave with influences from grime. Following this, X Club moved to UK-based 1Ø Pills Mate – a label associated with Lobster Theremin – for the release of Active Denial Systems. These 4 tracks possibly go even heavier with pummelling acid and jungle cuts.
