We wrote about Belgian project Poladroïd and their Detriti tape recently, but it turns out it had been preceded just slightly by an album release on Diffuse Reality. The Last Wavejumper is an impressive debut album (only available on cd), but Vladimir Volkoff has actually been making music as Poladroïd for more than 20 years. Volkoff moved to Belgium from Russia as a child but has developed an interest in Soviet synthesizer music from the early 80s. A couple of EPs came out around the same time earlier this year, through his own label Roulette Rekordz.
