Jane Inc. is the new moniker of Carlyn Bezic from Toronto, who plays in Ice Cream and has been a touring member of U.S. Girls. With their debut album on Telephone Explosion, called Number One, Jane Inc. presents a futurist neon vision of disco-injected pop. It began as a bedroom recording project where Bezic played everything, but then she got Steve Chahley (Badge Époque Ensemble) onboard to co-produce the finished album together with session players behind the drum kit, the wurlizter and saxophone. These 8 tracks will surely appeal to fans of U.S. Girls’ later reincarnations as well as Melody’s Echo Chamber. The LP was released in March and appears to be sold out now.
