RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #90
Scribble was an Australian post-punk/synth pop band based around Johanna Pigott (vocals, guitar, keyboard) with some session musicians including Todd Hunter whom she had played with in XL Capris. Scribble’s first mini-album, recorded in Bondi Beach, came out on Regular Records in 1983. It included the single “Silly Girl” which was promoted with this video. Another album followed in 1986 and then things went quiet. Pigott continued making music however. In April this year, Australian label Strangelove released a retrospective compilation called Selected Works 1983-86, which consists of 6 tracks including a cover of “Mother of Pearl” by Roxy Music.
