Rolltreppe

Rolltreppe is a new band from Vienna who reminds me of other recent brilliant debut acts like Spread Joy and Fake Fruit on their first and self-titled album. Despite not being from the US, their sound has a lot in common with American groups like Neo Boys, Gen Pop and All Hits. The album is out now on Austrian label Bachelor Records who are now entering the fray with the Berlin labels about who has the best German language punk groups. Following the debut from Privat, it looks like there might be a few Austrian entries in our end-of-year lists. These 9 tracks were first release on a cassette by the band but are now available here.
