Mothermary is one of those groups whose backstory seems to have been engineered to generate sensation. Elyse and Larena Winn are the twins that left the Mormon church and moved to Brooklyn. Their music, which they produce completely by themselves seems to a form of dealing with and reconciling with their past. Especially on their latest single “Pray”. Mothermary began with the Not a Virgin EP in 2017, when the project was just Elyse’s. After that they were picked up by Italians Do It Better and have released a string of videos with immaculate videos. Three of them appeared last year, but as of yet there has been no album announcement.
