The Zagreb collective LI$ seem to now be reduced to Strahinja Arbutina and Filip Scekic (SZCH), but are still going strong with their 26th release out last April. The theq compilation is just that, not-quite techno, or as the label themselves say theq is wanting, craving, yearning. Low Income $quad have gathered 9-tracks from a bunch of artists I’ve never heard of but somehow seem to fit very well together. Request Lorraine from Tel Aviv (founder of Sadan) contributes the experimental “Sledge Glamour”, Zahida from Switzerland provide some great breakbeats, some ethereal tracks from Yaka/Echinacea (two aliases of Inner Most) who’s from Mexico. Nara from London is probably the most well-known artist here
