It’s hard to believe that Tresor is actually 30 years old this year, but I guess they’re a real institution of Berlin nightlife still to this day. As you know, they also operate as a label and to mark the occasion they’ve assembled a magnificent box set comprising twelve 12″s with work from their favourite artists. With 52 tracks all in all, it’s a collection that harks back as much as it looks forward – honouring their avantgarde roots. Among the artists included I would mention Bergsonist, Terrence Dixon, Jensen Interceptor, Drexciya, Helena Hauff and Yazzus. On preview now are tracks from Donato Dozzy, Sophia Saze and Huey Mnemonic. More premieres are coming, with a release date set in September.
