Caterina Barbieri Caterina is an Italian composer who explores machine intelligence and object-oriented perception in sound. Two years ago she released the acclaimed Ecstatic Computation LP on Editions Mego, which opens with a track called “Fantas”. The 10-minute track has now been reworked by a star-studded line-up musicians. For example, Kali Malone has recorded a “Fantas For Two Organs” and Kara-Lis Coverdale’s “Fantas Morbida” renders it as a gentle piano piece. Baseck from LA and Berlin-based Lyra Pramuk also appear on the Fantas Variations double-LP that came out on Editions Mego in April.
