Dumbells is a new band from Australia who just released a demo tape on Warttmann Inc. – the label run by Set-Top Box / Tee Vee Repairman. There’s scant information about the band other than that these 3 tracks were recorded in 2020 by “Sam and Ben”. They have an interesting sound that reminds me of both Guided By Voices and The Clean. In a sense they have some of the same lo-fi attitude as Sydney group The Baby, whom we sadly haven’t heard from in a while.
